James Guide Service is a full service outfitter specializing in quality hunts for big game trophy animals in Arizona and New Mexico. Owned and operated by Arizona natives, Marvin and Debbie James, we have been outfitting and guiding for over 24 years. In keeping with state and federal regulations, James Guide Service has all applicable Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) permits and is fully insured.

Arizona’s reputation for trophy animals speaks for itself, producing some of the top Elk, Mule Deer, Coues Deer, Sheep and Antelope in the country. New Mexico also produces some of the top Elk and Antelope. Arizona’s tags for Deer, Elk, Antelope and Sheep are on a draw and bonus point system. For each unsuccessful draw, you earn one bonus point. The more bonus points you have, the better your chances are for drawing a premier big game tag. New Mexico is also on the draw system, but there are no bonus points. New Mexico does have landowner tags available for Elk and Antelope.

Hunting is the first passion of our guides. The result is us having the best guides that Arizona and New Mexico have to offer. All of our guides have extensive experience, are licensed with the Arizona and New Mexico Game and Fish Departments and are trained in first-aid. Most of our guides have been with us for at least five years.
